How mid-term rental works in the Canary Islands

Short-term tourist rentals and longer furnished lets are not the same product. If you own a home in Fuerteventura or elsewhere in Canarias, understanding the difference — and what your property is suited for — is the first step to legal, reliable income.

Longer stays vs tourist lets

Tourist holiday rentals (vivienda vacacional / VV) are built for short stays and usually require a tourist licence and listing on OTAs under those rules.

Longer stays — typically a month or more — suit people who need a proper home for a while: winter months on the island, work periods away, families. Maverent also manages shorter holiday stays where the property and licensing allow.

What Maverent handles

We take the property live on our site, manage calendars and pricing, guest screening, cleaning, maintenance coordination, and local support.

You get a single operator accountable for occupancy and guest experience — matched to what the home is suited for, short or longer.

Where we operate today

Our active portfolio is centred on Fuerteventura (Corralejo and the north). We expand town by town when we can deliver the same standard.
